NEW YORK - Sep. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ The Israel Ministry of Tourism today unveiled new records for arrivals of tourists in Israel from the United States in July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists in July 2022. This was a 4 percent increase from 2019, while 71,000 American tourists were in Israel during August 2022.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) said it was thrilling to witness an increase in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019 he stated. "The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic there was a record-breaking number of tourist entry numbers every month. נווה פריצקי We are delighted to witness this change and are expecting an ongoing upward trend for months, and possibly years.
Canada is also on track, just like the United States, to surpass its tourist arrivals into Israel. In July 2022, Canada saw 7,200 tourists and August saw 6,000.

We are close to our record numbers for 2019, and we anticipate that this increase in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians are more comfortable at home in Israel.
Israel welcomed more that 4.6 million tourists from abroad in the year 2019 including 969.600 coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all travelers, regardless if they are vaccination-free. The country has already hosted over 600,000.
