NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022/PRNewswire-- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 Americans during July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase from 2019, while 71,000 American tourists were in Israel during August 2022.

Already surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019, he said. "The United States is our most important market for inbound tourism for Israel. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw record-breaking numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel each month. We are so happy to see this positive change and anticipate it to continue for many months and years."
Canada is in the process, as the United States, to surpass its tourist arrivals into Israel. In July 2022 Canada received 7,200 visitors and August was a record 6,600.

Israel has hosted more than 4.6million visitors in the year 2019 of which 969,600 originated from the United States. Since May that year, when Israel reopened to all travelers regardless of vaccination status over 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
