Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record Breaking Tourism Entry Numbers

NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022/PRNewswirein July and August of 2018 the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record numbers of tourist arrivals from the United States. The country received 78,000 total travelers from the United States in July 2022, a 4% increase from 2019, and 71,000 total travelers from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from the year before.

"It is so thrilling to once again see an increase in tourism to Israel from the United States, already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking numbers for the year 2019." stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States has been our largest market for Israel's tourism inbound. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak we had been celebrating record-breaking figures of the number of tourists entering Israel each month.

Canada is in the process, as the United States, to surpass its tourist arrivals into Israel. In July 2022, Canada saw 7,200 tourists and August was a record the number increase to 6,000.

We're close to reaching our record numbers for 2019 and we expect that this surge in tourism to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians feel more at home abroad.

Israel received more tourists from around the world in 2019 than any other country. 969 600 were American. Israel's official reopening for all travelers was May 2018. Israel has been home to over 600,400 US travellers since that time.
