NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022/PRNewswire/ -- In July and August 2018 the Israel Ministry of Tourism recorded record numbers of visitors from America. Israel welcomed 78,000 total travelers from the United States in July 2022, a 4% increase from the year before, and 71,000 total travelers from the United States in August 2022 that's an increase of 13% from the year before.

Already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking number of 2019," he stated. "The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak that was in the news, we had record-breaking tourist entry numbers every month. We are delighted to witness this change and expect an ongoing upward trend for months, and possibly years.
Canada is home to 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6,000 tourists in August, isn't much from the United States.
Gal Hana, Consul to Canada and Director of Canada at the Israel Ministry of Tourism said that it was thrilling to see Canada's tourism to Israel returning. "We aren't too far from our record 2019 numbers, and we are anticipating that the growth in tourism to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians continue to feel more comfortable travelling abroad."
In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million global tourists, 969,600 of them coming from the United States, and since the country's official opening to any traveler regardless of vaccination status in May of this year, the country has already witnessed over 600,400 US tourists.
