NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/ Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of visitors from the United States who visited Israel during the months of July and August. The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States in July 2022 which is an increase of 4% from the year before, and 71,000 total travelers from the United States in August 2022 that's an increase of 13% from 2019.
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner of the United States. He stated, "It's so exciting to once more see an increasing number of tourists visiting Israel from America, which is already exceeding or even surpassing the record-breaking numbers we saw in 2019". "The United States is the most popular destination for Israel inbound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we were celebrating record-breaking numbers of tourism entry each month. This is a positive trend that we're happy to see and we expect an upward trend for years to be."
Just like the United States, Canada is also on track to surpass the number of tourists visiting Israel, reaching 7,200 visitors in July 2022 , and 6000 in August.

"We are not far from our record for 2019 and we expect that the growth in travels to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians feel more confident traveling across the globe."
Israel welcomed more than 4.6million visitors in the year 2019 of which 969,600 originated from the United States. Since May when the country was is now open to all tourists, regardless of their vaccination status, more than 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
